Salesforce to Acquire Spindle AI Under Definitive Agreement

Salesforce to Acquire Spindle AI Under Definitive Agreement

Salesforce has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Spindle AI, a fast-growing agentic analytics company known for helping businesses generate more accurate and faster data-driven insights. The acquisition highlights Salesforce’s ongoing push to enhance its AI capabilities and strengthen the analytical intelligence supporting its Agentforce platform.

Spindle AI brings sophisticated, autonomous AI agent technology that merges machine learning with advanced data modeling. This allows organizations to evaluate business scenarios, forecast outcomes, and make informed decisions at scale. The platform’s strength lies in enabling AI systems to not only process data, but also build models around real-world business situations an important evolution beyond traditional analytics.

The company was co-founded by industry veterans Ryan Atallah and Carson Kahn. Atallah previously founded ClearGraph, which was later acquired by Tableau, while Kahn served as founder and CTO at Volley ML under JPMorgan’s In–Residence program. Their expertise spans multi-agent system design, advanced machine learning, and high-performance data infrastructure, making Spindle AI a valuable addition to Salesforce’s AI technology stack. Their innovations also enhance the capabilities of platforms like Tableau by driving scenario-based modeling and predictive business analytics.

Commenting on the acquisition, Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI Platform, emphasized the significance of the technology and talent joining the business:

“The future of the agentic enterprise isn’t about having the most data, it’s about making that data speak a common language. Bringing Spindle AI – which includes veteran leaders and incredibly talented engineers with deep expertise in advanced agentic analytics and machine learning – onboard will continue our investment in Agent Observability and Self-Improvement to help us deliver custom agentic analytics, ROI forecasting, and continuous optimization for every Agentforce user.”

Today, enterprises generate massive amounts of data, yet accessing clear and reliable insights remains challenging. Many organizations struggle with siloed systems and complexity that make data difficult to interpret. While AI agents provide an emerging solution, scaling them to deliver accurate, flexible, and secure outcomes requires robust agentic frameworks and machine learning capabilities areas where Spindle AI excels.

Spindle AI’s platform uses neuro-symbolic AI agents engineered to autonomously simulate business scenarios in seconds. This helps organizations evaluate strategic decisions, including pricing, go-to-market planning, packaging design, and sales mix optimization. These tools empower enterprise teams to understand trade-offs and make more confident decisions.

Ryan Atallah, co-founder and CEO of Spindle AI, shared:

“We built Spindle AI to intelligently close the gap between what questions enterprises want to ask of their data and what their data systems can understand. We have spent years solving the hardest problems in intelligent analytics, machine learning, and data infrastructure. Joining Agentforce allows us to deliver that deep technical focus directly to customers at scale, powering the next era of trusted, autonomous systems by accelerating Agent Observability and Self-Improvement features for Agentforce 360.”

Jayesh Govindarajan, EVP Salesforce AI, Agentforce, added:

“We aren’t just acquiring a platform; we’re bringing on world-class expertise.”

Meanwhile, Spindle AI co-founder Carson Kahn noted:

“The next generation of agentic systems will be measured by how well they can continuously monitor, explain, and improve their own reasoning.”

Once the acquisition is finalized, Spindle AI will be integrated into Salesforce’s Agentforce team. Their initial focus will center on strengthening the Agent Observability and Self-Improvement layers that power Agentforce 360, specifically around custom agentic analytics, ROI forecasting, and continuous AI optimization.
