BT and Infobip have announced the expansion of their global partnership to deliver AI-powered, advanced communication services to multinational enterprises worldwide. This move builds on their initial collaboration in the UK, launched in 2022, and marks a significant step forward in enhancing customer engagement solutions on an international scale.
The extended agreement combines BT’s Global Voice and inbound contact solutions with Infobip’s market-leading cloud communications platform, giving enterprises the ability to unify their communication infrastructure across borders. By integrating these strengths, the two companies aim to simplify global connectivity while ensuring customer interactions remain seamless, secure, and scalable.
A key feature of the partnership is the inclusion of conversational AI capabilities. These tools enable businesses to create intelligent customer journeys powered by human-like interactions at scale. Importantly, companies can build these journeys without requiring extensive coding, making advanced AI-driven engagement more accessible and efficient.
Infobip already delivers rich messaging services across channels such as RCS, WhatsApp, and SMS, while BT offers international toll-free numbers and inbound voice services through its International Contact Global (ICG) suite. Under the new arrangement, Infobip becomes an authorized reseller of BT’s ICG services, while BT will also provide its customers with Infobip’s messaging capabilities. This mutual exchange of offerings creates a powerful, unified solution that enhances enterprise communication strategies.
Through this expanded partnership, BT and Infobip are enabling organizations to merge their customer contact centers into a single virtual network. This unification offers integrated voice and messaging services, ensuring enterprises can deliver richer, more personalized, and more consistent engagement experiences worldwide.
In addition, businesses will gain access to phone numbers in more than 130 countries and manage inbound calls across over 180 countries. This global reach provides a robust foundation for companies seeking to strengthen customer relationships and scale operations efficiently.
Colm Sunderland, Sales Director BT International, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating: “Enterprises around the world are looking to level-up their communications and engagement systems, requiring smart, interactive services to best serve their customers. BT International’s leading voice communication capabilities combined with Infobip’s platform will deliver a comprehensive set of services to power our customers’ Intelligent CX Engagement.”
Adding to this, Matija Ražem, Chief Commercial Telecom Officer at Infobip, remarked: “BT is a giant in the telecoms sector and a natural partner for Infobip. Powered by AI and designed for scale, the expansion of our partnership will offer a market-leading unified communications platform, helping to drive greater efficiencies and extend enterprises’ global reach.”
This strengthened alliance positions BT and Infobip as key players in redefining global enterprise communications, offering businesses the tools they need to elevate customer experience and embrace the next generation of AI-driven engagement.
