ComDesign Speeds Up Contact Center Shift with Vonage APIs

Vonage, a part of Ericsson, has announced the integration of its Communications APIs with ComDesign Co., Ltd.’s cloud-based Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) solution, CT-e1/SaaS. This strategic collaboration introduces SIP Trunking capabilities, empowering contact centers to scale their international operations by simplifying access to local phone numbers across more than 65 countries.

With businesses expanding into global markets, the need for reliable and seamless cross-border communication infrastructure has never been greater. Traditional systems, often dependent on physical and region-specific infrastructure, have created roadblocks to efficient international unification. By leveraging Vonage Communications APIs for SIP Trunking within ComDesign’s CT-e1/SaaS, companies can now eliminate these limitations. The integration allows organizations to operate global contact centers with agility, benefiting from versatile phone number provisioning through a fully cloud-native platform.

Kenji Terao, President and CEO of ComDesign, emphasized the importance of this development for Japanese businesses, stating, "At ComDesign, we are committed to empowering Japanese businesses with smarter, more agile communication tools. The integration with Vonage opens the door for contact centers to break traditional barriers, enabling rapid global growth without the operational complexities of heavy infrastructure."

The collaboration directly addresses long-standing telephony challenges faced by enterprises managing global operations. By shifting to a cloud-based approach, companies can now deploy services faster, lower operational costs, and maintain consistent service quality across multiple regions. This also ensures that businesses continue to focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, regardless of geographical location.

Highlighting the broader industry impact, Christophe Van de Weyer, President and Head of Business Unit API for Vonage, noted, "ComDesign's solution not only simplifies international number provisioning but also aligns closely with Japan's push for digital transformation. By adopting a cloud-native approach, contact centers can now offer streamlined support to global customers, ensuring smoother interactions and improved customer satisfaction. Vonage is excited about the partnership and helping to position ComDesign among one of the first in Japan to deliver this level of capability."

Ultimately, this integration marks a significant step forward in modernizing contact center infrastructure. By combining Vonage’s robust communications APIs with ComDesign’s advanced CTI solution, businesses now have the tools to expand globally while maintaining agility, efficiency, and customer-centric service delivery. This move underscores how cloud-powered communication solutions are reshaping global business operations in the digital era.
