AWS has
introduced a streamlined communications solution tailored for small businesses,
in partnership with Digiclarity. This innovative platform, called “Amazon
Connect-powered SMB communications as a service,” specifically addresses the
needs of companies with as few as one to nine employees—think electricians,
painters, plumbers, and similar service-based businesses. Traditionally, small
businesses have viewed enterprise tools like Amazon Connect as either too
complex or prohibitively expensive. In contrast, this solution simplifies
essential communication features, making enterprise-grade technology both
accessible and affordable for the SMB segment.
Promoted
as a brandable service, the platform enables service providers and
telecommunications companies to deliver powerful communication options to
traditionally underserved small businesses. Importantly, Digiclarity offers a
free seven-day trial for companies with up to 500 employees, allowing
businesses to experience the system without any financial commitment upfront.
The onboarding process is straightforward, guiding users through just three
steps—entering the business name, selecting the industry, and specifying
business size—on a single dashboard. Leveraging Amazon Bedrock on the backend,
the platform instantly configures industry-specific menus, greetings, and
workflows based on user input.

Partners with Sanas to Boost Customer Chats Using AI
Once set
up, business owners can personalize their portal by uploading a company logo,
setting business hours, and quickly activating a unique phone number through
Amazon Connect. The platform goes beyond simple calling features, providing a robust
set of tools: appointment scheduling that adapts to different service models,
fast invoice and quote generation, team management options, and easy customer
import from mobile devices. Voice features are robust as well, including
customizable IVR menus and greetings to streamline customer calls.
A
standout aspect of the solution is its customer-facing portal, which allows
clients to book services, track appointments in real time, and monitor
technician arrival with native location tracking. Clients can also initiate
chats directly with business employees, increasing transparency and engagement.

Powered
by embedded AI workflows, SMBs can now automate routine tasks using simple
written commands. For example, generating and sending an invoice can be as easy
as typing: “Create an invoice for John for $300.” The platform may request
additional details as needed, then handle the rest, saving time and eliminating
complexity.
According
to Jason Keel, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Digiclarity, the team’s goal
was to provide small businesses with the type of integrated communication,
scheduling, and billing tools previously reserved for large enterprises—without
the steep learning curve. In a market where major platforms tend to focus
on larger contracts, this AWS-Digiclarity offering aims to fill a critical gap,
ensuring that small businesses benefit from future-proof, value-adding
communication services designed just for them.
