Messagepoint, a leading provider of customer communications management (CCM) solutions, has announced the acquisition of Sefas, a well-known vendor specializing in CCM and enterprise communications processing (ECP) software. Through this strategic move, Messagepoint aims to strengthen its platform capabilities and help organizations streamline how they manage and deliver customer communications across multiple channels.
Today’s enterprises, particularly those operating in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, and insurance, face increasing pressure to communicate with customers faster, more accurately, and across various digital and print channels. At the same time, organizations must reduce the operational complexity and cost associated with managing high volumes of customer communications. By acquiring Sefas, Messagepoint intends to help companies move away from fragmented document production systems and transition toward a fully orchestrated, trackable communications journey.
Importantly, this acquisition builds upon the long-standing OEM partnership between Messagepoint and Sefas, which began in 2021. Over the past few years, both companies have collaborated closely to integrate key technologies that support modern customer communication strategies. Messagepoint currently offers several Sefas-powered solutions within its ecosystem, including Messagepoint Composer—based on Sefas Designer—and Messagepoint ECP, which incorporates Sefas Producer technology. These tools allow organizations to modernize how they manage regulated communications across both print and digital formats.
With the acquisition now finalized, Messagepoint plans to accelerate innovation by further integrating Sefas technology into its platform. In addition to strengthening existing solutions, the company also plans to introduce new capabilities to its customers. One of the most notable additions is Conductor, an omnichannel orchestration platform designed to coordinate and monitor high-volume communications across print and digital channels. Furthermore, the company will offer the Electronic Delivery Gateway (EDG), a solution that helps organizations manage and integrate digital delivery services more efficiently.
Together, these capabilities will enable Messagepoint to deliver a powerful AI-driven platform that supports the entire communications lifecycle. By combining intelligent content management, document composition, orchestration, and delivery within a single ecosystem, the platform will provide regulated organizations with improved visibility, faster delivery, and greater control over customer communications.
Steve Biancaniello, Founder and CEO of Messagepoint, highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition.
“This acquisition is about delivering more value to our customers as they adopt digital-first customer experience strategies,” said Steve Biancaniello, Founder and CEO of Messagepoint. “Sefas solutions perform at enterprise scale and enable Messagepoint to further enhance our ability to help customers deliver timely, personalized, compliant experiences across all channels. Bringing the Sefas team and solution suite into Messagepoint will allow us to deepen integration across composition and communications processing and extend into digital orchestration. Together, the combination of Messagepoint and Sefas—backed by our focus on AI-driven innovation and next-generation capabilities—will help regulated organizations maximize the efficiency and accuracy of modern customer experiences.”
Jean-Philippe Khristy, CEO of Sefas, also emphasized the shared vision between the two companies.
“Sefas and Messagepoint share a common vision: enabling enterprises to deliver modern customer communications across print and digital channels,” said Jean-Philippe Khristy, CEO of Sefas. “Building on a proven OEM collaboration, this next step strengthens our ability to innovate and serve customers with an integrated approach to designing, producing, orchestrating, and managing omnichannel customer experiences. We’re excited to join Messagepoint and expand what customers can achieve with the combined platform.”
Overall, the acquisition marks a significant step for Messagepoint as it continues to expand its capabilities and support enterprises in delivering more efficient, compliant, and personalized customer communications.
