Forescout Technologies has officially partnered with the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC), a division of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, as a Vendor Affiliate Program Partner. Through this collaboration, Forescout will provide its Forescout Research – Vedere Labs threat intelligence to North American utilities while actively engaging with industry and government leaders to address emerging cyber and physical security risks.
This partnership reflects Forescout’s expanding influence in the global energy sector. Notably, E-ISAC invited Forescout to join its North American community in recognition of the company’s role as a founding member of the European E-ISAC, its data-driven research capabilities, and its extensive experience collaborating with utilities and Information Sharing and Analysis Centers worldwide.
As cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure continue to rise, coordinated intelligence sharing has become essential. According to Forescout’s 2025 Threat Roundup report, threat actor activity against the energy sector increased by 6% year over year. Furthermore, cybercriminals, state-sponsored groups, and hacktivists consistently rank critical infrastructure among their top targets. Therefore, utilities must strengthen incident prevention strategies and response coordination to maintain grid stability.
Christina Hoefer, VP of Strategy and OT Verticals at Forescout, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “The threat landscape facing the power grid continues to intensify and utilities need partners with proven expertise and a deep understanding of operational realities. Joining the E-ISAC underscores Forescout’s long-standing commitment to the energy sector and our ability to deliver actionable intelligence, purpose-built solutions, and trusted collaboration at scale. We’re honored to work alongside the E-ISAC community to bring our expertise and threat intelligence to more utilities and industry partners.”
Protecting the World’s Leading Energy Companies
With more than 15 years of expertise in OT/SCADA asset intelligence and threat detection, Forescout has established itself as a trusted cybersecurity partner within the utilities sector. The company currently secures hundreds of substations, supports over 50 North American utilities, and protects five of the world’s top 10 energy companies. Additionally, Forescout helps utilities meet and maintain compliance with NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards by offering solutions aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.
Jeff Haidet, Director of Application Development and Architecture at South Central Power Co., described the platform’s value: “To gain the functionality that Forescout provides — from seeing and managing assets to triggering control actions and accelerating Zero Trust segmentation — we would have needed multiple tools. The bigger your network gets, the bigger the cost savings and stronger your case for it becomes.”
Ultimately, by partnering with E-ISAC, Forescout reinforces its commitment to securing North America’s power grid. Through advanced threat intelligence, compliance-focused solutions, and collaborative industry engagement, the company aims to help utilities proactively defend against escalating cyber threats and ensure resilient energy infrastructure.
