At Mobile World Congress, Twilio announced a strategic partnership with KPN Netherlands (KPN) to introduce nationwide Rich Communication Services (RCS) Business Messaging across the Netherlands. The initiative, powered by Twilio and Google, aims to modernize how businesses communicate with customers by enabling richer, more secure, and interactive messaging experiences.

As customer engagement increasingly shifts toward mobile-first interactions, businesses are seeking communication channels that go beyond traditional SMS. In response, Twilio and KPN have joined forces to bring the next generation of messaging technology to enterprises across the Netherlands. Through this collaboration, companies will now be able to deploy RCS Business Messaging across all major mobile operators nationwide.

RCS Business Messaging enhances traditional SMS capabilities by integrating rich interactive features while maintaining the simplicity and reach that businesses rely on. With this technology, organizations can send messages that include verified sender identities, images, carousels, and action buttons. Consequently, brands can create more engaging customer conversations while simultaneously improving transparency and trust.

Driving Nationwide RCS Adoption in the Netherlands
