Wix.com Ltd. has partnered with OpenAI to introduce the Wix app directly inside ChatGPT, expanding website creation to one of the world’s most widely used conversational AI platforms. Through this collaboration, Wix now enables users to build fully functional, professional-grade websites without leaving the ChatGPT interface.
Built using OpenAI’s Apps SDK and powered by Wix’s proprietary Model Context Protocol (MCP), the app allows anyone to create a Wix Harmony website through simple text or voice prompts. Users only need to describe the website they want, and the platform instantly generates a production-ready site. Moreover, they can refine layouts, add business tools, track performance, and implement updates — all through natural conversation.
Importantly, the new integration streamlines digital presence creation for entrepreneurs, businesses, and creators. Instead of navigating multiple dashboards, users can manage their website development journey directly within ChatGPT. Additionally, existing Wix customers can connect their accounts and oversee their businesses seamlessly from within the AI interface.

To activate the feature, users simply start a ChatGPT prompt with “@Wix,” and the Wix app appears within the chat. Every website generated runs on Wix’s enterprise-grade infrastructure and includes built-in capabilities such as e-commerce, scheduling, payments, SEO, GEO optimization, accessibility, performance, and security. Once created, users can access their website either directly through the chat interface or via the Wix Business Manager.
Overall, this launch significantly lowers the barrier to professional website creation while reinforcing Wix’s commitment to innovation in AI-powered digital experiences.
