Cognizant and Google Cloud Expand Partnership for Agentic AI

Cognizant and Google Cloud Expand Partnership for Agentic AI

Cognizant has entered a new phase of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud, shifting its focus from platform integration to large-scale enterprise execution. This move aims to help organizations successfully operationalize agentic AI in real-world business environments. By building on its earlier collaboration to adopt Gemini Enterprise, Cognizant is now accelerating internal deployments, strengthening delivery capabilities and introducing commercial offerings designed to transform agentic AI from a promising concept into measurable business value.

To begin with, Cognizant has already invested in Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise and is actively deploying these tools across its own enterprise operations. This internal implementation focuses on improving workforce productivity, enhancing employee experience and accelerating delivery speed. Moreover, by applying these tools internally, Cognizant is gaining practical insights that will help it deliver more effective AI-driven solutions to its clients.

At the same time, Cognizant plans to introduce a new productivity-focused offering that combines Gemini Enterprise with Google Workspace. This solution will help organizations replace disconnected, manual processes with streamlined, AI-powered workflows. For example, businesses will be able to improve collaborative content creation, automate supplier communications and enhance operational efficiency through intelligent automation. As a result, enterprises can simplify complex workflows while increasing agility and performance.

"This partnership reinforces Cognizant's position as an AI builder, a new kind of services partner focused on creating purpose-built, enterprise-grade solutions that drive real business outcomes," said Annadurai Elango, President, Core Technologies and Insights, Cognizant. "Cognizant brings together the optimal combination of people and technology, including proprietary IP and deep services expertise, to build industry-specific platforms, embed context into systems, and co-create agentic solutions tailored to each client's business."

Furthermore, Cognizant is strengthening its long-term delivery capabilities by establishing a dedicated Gemini Enterprise Center of Excellence. This initiative will support scalable and repeatable deployment of agentic AI solutions across industries. As a multi-year Google Cloud Data Partner of the Year award winner, Cognizant will use its Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC) framework to integrate AI into every stage of the development process. This includes planning, design, development, validation and production rollout. Consequently, enterprises can accelerate AI adoption while maintaining consistency, reliability and governance.

Google Cloud also emphasized the importance of this expanded collaboration in helping organizations deploy enterprise-ready AI solutions.

"Our partnership with Cognizant brings together advanced AI technology and deep industry expertise to help enterprises operationalize agentic AI," said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Ecosystem and Channels at Google Cloud. "Together, we are enabling organizations to deploy enterprise-ready AI solutions that deliver real business impact."

In addition, Cognizant is leveraging advanced tools such as Cognizant Ignition, powered by Gemini, to accelerate AI discovery, prototyping and data optimization. Through Cognizant Agent Foundry, organizations can also access no-code capabilities and pre-built solutions designed for high-value use cases. These include AI-powered contact centers and intelligent order management systems. Moreover, Cognizant’s global network of Gemini-trained professionals ensures scalable delivery across agentic coding initiatives and Google Distributed Cloud environments.

Overall, this expanded partnership demonstrates a practical and scalable approach to enterprise AI adoption. Instead of focusing solely on selecting AI platforms, Cognizant and Google Cloud are helping organizations move toward full-scale implementation. By combining advanced AI technology, enterprise delivery expertise and scalable operating models, both companies are enabling businesses to unlock real value from agentic AI and accelerate their digital transformation journeys.
