Through this expanded partnership, Parkopedia’s massive global parking dataset — which includes more than 90 million parking spaces across 20,000+ cities worldwide — will now be integrated directly into SoundHound’s voice commerce platform. This enables drivers to instantly locate parking, compare availability and prices in real time, and even pay for their parking using voice commands alone. With this upgrade, parking becomes a fast, fully hands-free experience that takes just seconds.
The new Parkopedia AI Agent brings proactive intelligence to the vehicle cabin. It can automatically recommend nearby parking, highlight discounts such as first-hour-free offers, and present real-time pricing — enhancing both convenience and safety by reducing the need for drivers to manually search for parking while on the road.
How the Experience Works (Scenario Example)
DRIVER: “Navigate me to Grand Central Market, LA.”
AI VOICE AGENT: “Navigating to Grand Central Market. Parking looks busy at Grand Central Market. Would you like me to find you available parking near your destination?”
DRIVER: “Yes, please.”
AI VOICE AGENT: “There are five parking locations near Grand Central Market. The closest is Nevada Boulevard with availability and a pre-paid payment option. I’ve shown the associated costs on screen, would you like to reserve a spot?”
DRIVER: “Yes, please reserve it.”
