Through this expansion, the company now integrates AI dubbing, voice cloning, lip syncing, and real-time audio interpretation into its existing technology portfolio.
To begin with, VoiceBox’s AI dubbing technology automatically converts spoken content into text, translates it in real time, and generates an AI voiceover for quality review by project managers. Importantly, this capability now supports 70 languages, allowing clients to localize content at scale while maintaining speed and consistency.
In addition, the company has introduced AI voice cloning, which digitally replicates an individual’s voice rather than using a generic synthetic tone. This cloned voice can then speak in another language or narrate new scripts. Crucially, VoiceBox ensures that clients retain full ownership of their cloned voices, preventing any unauthorized or external use beyond the original project scope.
Meanwhile, VoiceBox has also rolled out AI-powered audio interpretation for live events. In practice, the system listens to source speech, transcribes it, translates it, and then delivers an AI-generated voiceover in near real time. As a result, this technology functions like an automated interpreter across 82 languages, reducing reliance on traditional human translation in time-sensitive settings.
Addressing the decision to expand into AI, Sophie Muller, Head of VoiceBox, said:

“I haven’t always been a fan of AI services. I’ve had concerns of an ethical persuasion and concerns surrounding the employment of those who make what I do every day possible.”
However, over the past 15 months, Muller observed a major industry shift toward AI-driven production. She highlighted that the AI voice generator market reached USD 4.16 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to USD 20.71 billion by 2031, reinforcing the inevitability of AI adoption in media.
Consequently, VoiceBox made a strategic choice to embrace AI rather than fall behind competitors. As Muller put it:
“It was a case of joining in or missing out and a business decision was taken. We couldn’t be left behind!”
Beyond the new tools, VoiceBox already offers AI live captions, AI subtitles, and AI voiceovers, which now complement its expanded AI capabilities. At the same time, the agency continues to provide high-quality human services, ensuring that technology enhances rather than replaces professional expertise.
