Samsung Adds Vision AI Companion to 2025 Smart TVs & Monitors

Samsung Adds Vision AI Companion to 2025 Smart TVs & Monitors

Samsung first introduced its Vision AI Companion (VAC) at IFA 2025 in September. The company has now confirmed that this conversational AI platform will be available across its 2025 lineup, including Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, Micro RGB TVs, smart monitors, and the Movingstyle series. The goal behind VAC is to transform televisions into smarter, more connected control hubs for everyday household use.

Powered by an enhanced version of Bixby, Vision AI Companion combines Samsung’s internal AI advancements with large language models developed in collaboration with partners such as Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. This integration positions VAC as the world’s first multi-AI agent TV platform capable of responding to users through natural, context-aware conversations directly on the TV screen.

Instead of navigating menus or manually searching, users simply press the AI button on their remote to ask questions, request information, plan activities, or receive custom recommendations while still viewing content. VAC enables tasks such as asking for movie recommendations, following recipes, or gathering travel tips, displaying relevant visuals and suggestions instantly on-screen.

Samsung has also equipped VAC with several practical, AI-driven features that enhance both entertainment and productivity:

  • Live Translate: Offers real-time translation for conversations and on-screen dialogue.

  • AI Gaming Mode: Automatically adjusts sound and display settings during gameplay.

  • Generative Wallpaper: Produces AI-generated, mood-based wallpapers.

  • AI Picture, AVA Pro, and AI Upscaling Pro: Boosts picture and audio quality scene-by-scene.

VAC currently supports ten languages, including English, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.

Samsung says, “Vision AI Companion puts the TV at the centre of a connected home.”

This solution reflects Samsung’s broader commitment to integrating advanced intelligence across its device ecosystem, building on previous efforts that included SmartThings support, Bixby Voice, and AI Picture enhancements. However, unlike earlier tools that focused primarily on device-level control, Vision AI Companion is designed as a shared digital assistant for the entire household.

Because Samsung’s latest premium TVs run on One UI Tizen and come with seven years of software support, users can expect continuous improvements and feature enhancements for Vision AI over time. Ultimately, the technology aims to expand the TV’s role beyond entertainment, transforming it into a central, interactive hub for smart living.
