Foodtastic, one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing restaurant franchisors, has chosen Sadie AI as its preferred Voice AI platform to enhance customer communication across its restaurant network. With this partnership, Foodtastic plans to deploy an always-on, AI-powered phone automation system designed to deliver a highly personalized and efficient guest experience across its 27 restaurant brands, including Milestones, Second Cup, and Freshii.
To begin with, Foodtastic initially tested Sadie AI through a pilot program at Milestones during the fall season. Following the successful results of that pilot, the company has decided to roll out the technology across Milestones locations starting in February. Over time, the franchisor plans to extend the solution to other full-service restaurant brands within its portfolio.
Sadie AI’s platform provides 24/7 automated phone support, enabling restaurants to manage inbound calls more efficiently. The system answers frequently asked questions, assists with reservations, and supports phone-based ordering without requiring staff intervention. As a result, restaurant teams can remain focused on delivering quality in-store service while the AI system manages routine phone inquiries.
Vlad Ciobanu, Senior Vice-President of Marketing at Foodtastic, emphasized how the technology directly supports operational efficiency.

Importantly, the pilot program demonstrated several key benefits. The AI-powered phone system helped reduce operational pressure on restaurant teams while improving response speed for customer inquiries. Additionally, by ensuring calls are consistently answered, restaurants can capture more potential reservations and orders, which may otherwise be lost during busy periods.
In many restaurants, phone calls remain one of the most essential yet challenging communication channels. Staff often struggle to manage incoming calls while simultaneously serving guests inside the restaurant. During peak hours, unanswered calls can result in missed reservations, lost orders, and reduced customer satisfaction. However, Sadie AI addresses these issues by ensuring every call receives an immediate response.
The system can provide guests with accurate information about restaurant hours, menu items, locations, and promotions. At the same time, it handles reservations and orders seamlessly without interrupting the workflow of on-site employees. Consequently, restaurants can deliver a faster and more consistent customer experience.
