ServiceNow Announces FedRAMP Milestone for Moveworks

ServiceNow, widely recognized as the AI control tower for business reinvention, has announced that Moveworks has officially achieved FedRAMP® Moderate Authorization. This significant milestone enables federal agencies, defense contractors, and public sector organizations to securely deploy Moveworks’ AI Assistant platform across their workforce. As a result, government employees can seamlessly search, automate, and act across multiple business applications—ultimately improving mission readiness and operational outcomes.

At a time when federal agencies face mounting pressure to modernize service delivery, manage legacy systems, and address staffing shortages, this authorization arrives at a critical juncture. Moreover, public sector organizations must comply with the highest standards of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance. Moveworks directly addresses these demands by serving as a unified digital front door for agencies, while simultaneously delivering a frictionless employee experience within existing workflows.

Importantly, the platform supports communication in more than 100 languages, ensuring consistent service delivery across the global federal workforce. Powered by a proprietary Reasoning Engine, Moveworks can understand complex requests, plan multi-step workflows, execute tasks, and adapt dynamically within an agency’s specific operational framework. By combining intelligent search with real-time action in a single conversational interface, the platform significantly reduces manual workloads and accelerates resolution times for routine service requests.

“For federal agencies, security is the bedrock of every mission, but it shouldn't be a barrier to innovation,” said Damián Hasse, chief information security officer for Moveworks from ServiceNow. “This authorization allows us to bring Moveworks GovCloud to the public sector, offering a secure path to eliminate manual backlogs and fragmented tools.”

Moveworks GovCloud: Built for Government

To specifically meet public sector requirements, Moveworks GovCloud operates within a dedicated environment built on AWS GovCloud (US). This infrastructure reflects years of investment in secure architecture, advanced controls, and compliance frameworks tailored to sensitive government operations. Although Moveworks integrates deeply with ServiceNow’s ecosystem, agencies can also deploy the AI Assistant as a standalone solution.

Key benefits of Moveworks GovCloud include the ability to interpret complex requests, automate multi-step workflows, and securely execute actions across interconnected government systems. Furthermore, it boosts operational efficiency by autonomously handling high-volume IT, HR, and finance inquiries—thereby extending the capacity of limited staff. Native integrations, along with the Moveworks AI Agent Marketplace and Agent Studio, enable secure end-to-end automation across existing technology stacks.

“The government workforce deserves the best technology solutions to power mission success,” said Mike Hurt, GVP, Public Sector for ServiceNow. “By achieving FedRAMP authorization, Moveworks provides a secure, agentic AI gateway that eliminates the friction of fragmented systems. Its unified conversational interface automates the everyday complexities of IT, HR, and procurement, allowing public servants to focus on mission outcomes."

With FedRAMP Moderate Authorization now secured, Moveworks strengthens its position as a trusted conversational AI solution for the public sector, helping agencies innovate securely while advancing operational excellence.
