Angi, the digital home services marketplace formerly known as Angie’s List, has introduced its Angi app within ChatGPT, enabling homeowners to move seamlessly from asking home improvement questions to hiring skilled professionals. Through this launch, Angi aims to simplify how homeowners plan and complete projects by combining AI guidance with its established network of service providers.
As artificial intelligence continues to shape how consumers search for information, many homeowners now start their home improvement journeys by asking AI assistants for advice. Instead of browsing multiple websites for answers, they increasingly rely on AI to understand project requirements, costs, and potential solutions. Recognizing this shift in consumer behavior, Angi integrated its platform directly into ChatGPT to offer a more streamlined and interactive experience.
With the new integration, homeowners can begin by asking questions about repairs, maintenance tasks, or renovation projects within ChatGPT. The Angi app then provides helpful guidance along with recommendations for qualified local professionals who can complete the job. Consequently, users can transition from planning a project to connecting with trusted service providers in just a few steps.
Angie Hicks, co-founder of Angi, highlighted how the integration helps transform AI conversations into real-world action.
“Homeowners are starting projects differently. Instead of searching multiple websites, many now begin by asking an AI assistant what to do and what it may cost,” said Angie Hicks, co-founder of Angi. “Having our app in ChatGPT turns those conversations from recommendations into real-world action — helping homeowners understand their project, set expectations and connect with the right skilled pro. By pairing AI guidance with Angi’s trusted network and 30 years of home services experience, we’re simplifying how people find and hire pros so more home projects get done well.”
Once homeowners click on a professional recommendation or request a quote, they are directed to Angi’s platform, where the process continues through the company’s AI Helper system. This AI-powered assistant leverages Angi’s three decades of industry experience to help homeowners clearly describe their issues and project needs.
Importantly, AI Helper translates everyday language into structured service requests that professionals can easily understand. This feature reduces miscommunication between homeowners and contractors while ensuring that project expectations remain clear from the start. Additionally, the system continues to guide users through the hiring process, helping them select the most appropriate professional for their needs.
Recent data from Angi highlights the effectiveness of this AI-powered approach. According to the company, homeowners who use AI Helper are three times more likely to request quotes from professionals compared to those who rely on traditional browsing methods. Furthermore, projects initiated with AI Helper are 25 percent more likely to be completed successfully, demonstrating the potential of AI-driven guidance to improve outcomes.
The launch of the Angi app within ChatGPT represents another step in the company’s broader AI strategy. This initiative follows the introduction of Angi’s AI Helper in June 2025 and reflects the company’s continued efforts to integrate advanced technology into its platform.
Moving forward, Angi plans to further enhance its AI capabilities in order to meet homeowners wherever they begin their search for home services. By combining artificial intelligence with its trusted marketplace of professionals, Angi aims to make home project planning, hiring, and execution more efficient and accessible for homeowners everywhere.
