Snowflake and Anthropic Sign $200M AI Partnership

Snowflake has announced a major expansion of its partnership with Anthropic through a new multi-year agreement worth $200 million. The deal will significantly deepen the integration of Anthropic’s Claude models into Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud and introduce a global go-to-market initiative aimed at accelerating enterprise adoption of agentic AI.

The partnership brings Anthropic’s frontier models — including Claude Sonnet 4.5 and Opus 4.5 — directly into Snowflake’s governed data environment, giving more than 12,600 customers across all major clouds access to advanced reasoning capabilities. Claude will also become the core engine behind Snowflake Intelligence, the company’s enterprise intelligence agent designed to help organisations retrieve, analyze, and reason over vast amounts of structured and unstructured data using natural language.

This announcement builds on the companies’ earlier collaboration, where thousands of customers already process trillions of Claude tokens each month through Snowflake Cortex AI. The next phase focuses on deploying AI agents capable of multi-step analysis, showing their work, and operating within strict security and governance boundaries — a critical requirement for regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, and life sciences.
