Purple, a global leader in digital connectivity and guest experience solutions, has announced the launch of Engage, a new CRM and email marketing platform designed to help physical venues drive repeat visits using customer data collected through guest WiFi.

The platform is aimed at businesses of all sizes, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and multi-venue operators that often lack the time and resources to manage complex marketing tools. Engage provides a single, simplified system that allows venues to collect customer data, manage relationships, and automate email marketing without the need for enterprise-level infrastructure.

Unlike traditional CRM platforms that rely on pre-existing contact lists, Purple Engage enables venues to actively build their customer databases through WiFi sign-ins. All data is collected with clear opt-in consent, helping businesses remain compliant with data protection regulations such as GDPR while reducing administrative burden and legal risk.

Purple stated that Engage is built around three core principles: compliant data collection, operational simplicity, and measurable impact. The platform’s interface is designed for everyday use, allowing business owners and small teams to manage customer engagement alongside daily operations. As a hardware-agnostic solution, Engage integrates easily with existing WiFi environments, avoiding additional setup complexity.

The company said the platform is deliberately priced to be more accessible than traditional CRM and marketing tools. Engage builds on insights from Purple’s broader digital engagement platform, which has demonstrated an average 24% increase in repeat visits across participating venues by enabling more personalized customer communication.

Gavin Wheeldon, Chief Executive Officer of Purple, said the launch reflects the company’s commitment to supporting venues facing increasing cost pressures and competition. He noted that Engage gives businesses practical digital tools to strengthen customer loyalty and improve long-term performance without adding operational complexity.

Purple currently supports nearly 500 million users across more than 80,000 venues worldwide, spanning hospitality, retail, leisure, and public spaces. With the introduction of Engage, the company aims to further simplify how physical venues use digital data to understand customer behavior and build lasting relationships.

The launch highlights a growing shift toward data-driven engagement in physical locations, as businesses look to bridge the gap between online marketing capabilities and in-person customer experiences.
