Levi Strauss & Co. has revealed a major new partnership with Microsoft to build a unified agentic AI platform designed to transform internal operations and enhance customer experiences across both retail and digital channels. This collaboration represents a significant step in Levi’s broader strategy to accelerate innovation, strengthen efficiency, and modernize its global business.
At the center of this initiative is a centralized AI “super-agent” that will operate within Microsoft Teams and run on Microsoft Azure. This advanced system will integrate multiple intelligent sub-agents across key functions, including HR, IT, store operations, and enterprise support. By automating routine tasks, delivering real-time insights, and enabling more seamless collaboration, the platform aims to streamline workflows for Levi Strauss teams around the world.
This new AI capability aligns with Levi Strauss’ long-term vision to expand its direct-to-consumer ecosystem and set new industry standards in retail technology. The company expects to begin initial deployment in early 2026, with a broader global rollout scheduled for later that year. One of the latest innovations is “Outfitting,” a feature within the mobile app that delivers personalized styling recommendations based on individual preferences. This tool reflects Levi’s commitment to offering shoppers more intuitive and tailored digital experiences.
Furthermore, the company’s AI-powered in-store assistant, “Stitch,” is set to expand to 60 stores across the United States following a successful pilot program. Stitch assists employees by providing quick access to product details, inventory information, and customer insights, ultimately helping teams deliver more efficient service and better in-store engagement.
