LeadDesk Acquires Fluentic to Boost Multilingual CX

LeadDesk Plc has acquired Finnish AI-powered translation specialist Fluentic Oy in a trade sale, strengthening its capabilities in multilingual customer service. The acquisition brings Fluentic’s AI-based translation and automation technology into LeadDesk’s product ecosystem, enabling contact centres to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences across multiple languages with greater efficiency.

Founded in 2007, Fluentic has built a strong reputation for delivering AI-driven translation solutions tailored for customer service environments. Over the years, the company has served a range of global enterprises, including well-known brands such as Finnair, Iberia, Yamaha, and Volvo Cars. Its technology is designed to remove language barriers while maintaining service accuracy and operational speed, making it a natural complement to LeadDesk’s AI-powered CCaaS platform.

The acquisition aligns closely with LeadDesk’s broader strategy to expand its product portfolio and increase customer value in the increasingly consolidating European Contact Centre as a Service market. By integrating Fluentic’s multilingual capabilities, LeadDesk aims to enhance customer engagement in complex, language-diverse contact centre environments where seamless communication is critical to customer satisfaction.

Fluentic’s technology strengthens LeadDesk’s existing AI offering by enabling more intelligent automation and real-time translation across customer interactions. This integration allows organizations using LeadDesk’s platform to support international customers more effectively while improving agent productivity and overall service consistency.

From a financial perspective, the acquired business generated approximately EUR 0.5 million in revenue during the 2025 financial year. LeadDesk has not yet released its financial guidance for 2026. The transaction was executed as a trade sale, with two Fluentic employees joining LeadDesk as part of the acquisition. To fund the deal, LeadDesk drew a EUR 0.3 million bank loan.

Commenting on the acquisition, LeadDesk CEO Olli Nokso-Koivisto described Fluentic as a proven AI-powered translation solution with an impressive customer base. He noted that the acquisition supports LeadDesk’s ambition to strengthen its AI capabilities while helping customers improve efficiency and overcome language-related challenges in customer service operations.

Fluentic Chairman of the Board Asko Schrey reflected on the company’s journey since its founding, expressing pride in what Fluentic has achieved over nearly two decades. He added that joining LeadDesk provides a strong platform for the continued development of Fluentic’s technology, allowing it to evolve as part of a broader and more comprehensive customer experience offering.
