Gamma Communications, a leading provider of communication technology solutions across Europe, and O2 Daisy the UK’s new telecommunications powerhouse formed through the merger of Virgin Media O2 Business and Daisy Group have announced a major multi-year partnership. This long-term partnership builds on their existing relationship and sets the stage for both companies to grow faster together in the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) space.
The new deal consists of several key elements. Over the next six years, Gamma will provide thousands more UCaaS seats to O2 Daisy across a range of platforms, including Horizon, Webex for Gamma, and PhoneLine+. At the same time, Gamma has taken responsibility for Cisco BroadWorks enablement, which underpins O2 Daisy’s UCaaS platform and will play a crucial role in driving future scalability. This multi-platform strategy shows the strength of the partnership and opens the door to new cross-selling opportunities across O2 Daisy’s larger customer base after the merger.

Another important part of the deal is that Gamma’s UK SME direct customers will be transferred to O2 Daisy, with a guaranteed wholesale revenue commitment for seven years. To ensure a smooth handover, Gamma will continue to support these customers with billing and service for up to 12 months during the transition. Going forward, Gamma will focus its UK direct sales efforts on digital channels and enterprise solutions, while SMEs benefit from O2 Daisy’s dedicated systems, tailored support, and specialist expertise. This shift reflects Gamma’s long-standing belief that channel partners are best positioned to serve SME markets effectively.
By supporting two of O2 Daisy’s UCaaS platforms Cisco BroadWorks and Horizon Gamma reinforces its position as a crucial partner in driving scalable growth in unified communications. With its economies of scale, strong supply partnerships, and voice enablement technologies, Gamma is well-placed to deliver the infrastructure needed in a sector increasingly shaped by regulatory, compliance, and security demands. By managing the underlying complexities, Gamma allows partners to focus on delivering value and high-quality service to their customers.

Collaborating closely with Cisco remains an important part of Gamma’s strategy. Through platforms like Cisco BroadWorks and Webex, Gamma empowers channel partners to expand their UCaaS offerings and achieve scale. This ongoing commitment reinforces Gamma’s reputation as a trusted partner dedicated to delivering long-term benefits for customers, partners, and the broader communications ecosystem.
Andrew Belshaw, CEO at Gamma, said: “Running your own communications platform is increasingly complex. From rising compliance pressures to the cost and pace of innovation, it simply doesn’t make commercial sense for many providers. That’s where Gamma comes in. Our relationship with O2 Daisy is built on years of trust, shared success and doing what’s right. This agreement reflects all of that. By combining their customer focus with our platform scale and expertise, we’re creating the right environment for sustainable growth.”
Dave McGinn, CEO, SME of O2 Daisy, added: “The market sweet spot for us is UC; we have a big direct sales force cross-selling UC at a rapid rate, and a vibrant partner community that continues to grow through support and investment. This deal is hugely positive for both companies and, most importantly, for the customers and partners who will benefit from this ongoing partnership. We’re proud to continue building on our long-standing partnership with Gamma. This is about continuity, care, and commitment, ensuring SME customers receive the right level of support from a partner fully aligned to their needs. Our shared belief in doing what’s right for the customer has always underpinned our relationship.”
