Hayo has entered a strategic partnership with Zamani Telecom to strengthen A2P SMS monetisation while reinforcing fraud prevention across Niger’s mobile ecosystem. Meanwhile, Zamani Telecom—one of the country’s leading mobile network operators—has appointed Hayo as its exclusive partner for A2P SMS monetisation and SMS firewall services. This collaboration signals a major step toward cleaner messaging traffic, higher revenues, and stronger digital trust in Niger’s telecom sector.
Under this agreement, Hayo will actively monitor, test, and mitigate fraudulent activity across Zamani’s SMS traffic. At the same time, the company will implement data-driven pricing models designed to increase legitimate traffic volumes and prioritise high-value over-the-top (OTT) messaging segments. Consequently, Zamani Telecom stands to benefit from both improved security and enhanced revenue performance.
From a technical perspective, Hayo’s SMS Firewall solution identifies and blocks A2P messages that attempt to terminate on Zamani’s network via grey routes. Instead, the system ensures that all business messaging travels through official, whitelisted channels where it can be properly tracked and billed. As a result, global technology platforms—including Alibaba, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Temu, and TikTok—can deliver A2P SMS in Niger through a compliant, transparent, and secure framework enabled by Hayo.
Zamani Telecom, formerly known as Orange Niger, currently serves more than three million customers nationwide. In addition to mobile services, the company provides fixed-line and internet connectivity across the country. Its broader mission remains centered on expanding digital access and accelerating the growth of Niger’s digital economy.
To further safeguard network integrity, Hayo’s solution incorporates daily penetration testing aimed at detecting bypass routes and fraudulent messaging patterns. Furthermore, the system continuously optimises firewall rules, deploys AIT (Artificially Induced Traffic) detection to flag suspicious activity, and delivers hands-on anti-fraud training to Zamani’s technical teams. Hayo also conducts realistic testing using OTT-generated messages and simulated two-factor authentication (2FA) traffic routed through international hubs. Together, these measures reduce revenue leakage while strengthening long-term security resilience.
“Our A2P monetisation strategies and SMS Firewall solutions ensure that operators are free from fraud and proactively blocking traffic from illegitimate sources. Our model is focused on win-win partnerships that support long-term growth. We’re providing on-the-ground innovation in Niger that will benefit the entire mobile ecosystem in the country. Our goal is to maximise the profitability and sustainability of Zamani’s A2P SMS revenue streams and enable it to thrive for the benefit of Nigerien communities.” — Feraz Ahmed, CEO at Hayo
Building on this momentum, Hayo emphasises its expertise in revenue optimisation and telecom consulting. “Hayo has a proven track record of consulting, developing and delivering solutions that increase revenue and optimise traffic. Our partnership will increase Zamani’s competitiveness and ensure to maximise the value of all traffic on its network. As the international telecoms landscape increases in complexity, we’re putting a strong focus on adding value for customers, while advising on the digital solutions they need to be successful.” — Paul Loveridge, EVP Carrier Services at Hayo
Overall, this partnership positions Zamani Telecom at the forefront of secure A2P messaging in West Africa while reinforcing Hayo’s reputation as a trusted global innovator in telecom security and monetisation.
