Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services and consulting, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Coastal Cloud, a top-tier Salesforce Summit Partner in the United States. The all-cash transaction, valued at $700 million, marks a significant strengthening of TCS’s Salesforce consulting and transformation capabilities as enterprises continue accelerating their digital and AI-driven modernization efforts.
Coastal Cloud, established in 2012, is widely recognized for its multi-cloud Salesforce expertise and its ability to deliver enterprise-level transformations across industries. The firm specializes in designing AI-enabled advisory and consulting solutions across Sales, Service, Marketing, Revenue, CPQ, Commerce, and Salesforce Data Cloud. As a Summit Partner, Coastal Cloud has built deep, strategic customer relationships and holds influential roles on the Salesforce Partner Advisory Board, giving it visibility into future product innovations and launch priorities. The company is led by Eric Berridge, a seasoned Salesforce expert known for scaling high-performing Salesforce services organizations. Salesforce Ventures was also one of the company’s early strategic investors.
This acquisition follows TCS’s earlier move in October 2025, when it acquired ListEngage—another Salesforce Summit Partner known for its strengths in Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud. With Coastal Cloud now joining the organization, TCS substantially expands its Salesforce consulting bench, adding over 400 highly skilled professionals and more than 3,000 multi-cloud certifications. Coastal Cloud’s client portfolio spans multiple verticals and includes a strong presence in the mid-market segment, giving TCS broader reach and new cross-selling opportunities.
Together, these two acquisitions position TCS as one of the top five Salesforce advisory and consulting firms globally, significantly advancing its strategic ambition to become the world’s largest AI-led technology services provider.
Aarthi Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer at TCS, highlighted the significance of the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition marks a pivotal milestone in advancing our global Salesforce capabilities and accelerating our AI-led transformation agenda. It is another significant step towards realizing TCS’s vision of becoming world’s largest AI-led Technology Services company. By adding over 400 multi-cloud specialists with deep industry expertise, we are strengthening our advisory and business consulting capabilities and enhancing our AI and data offerings. We are delighted to welcome the Coastal Cloud team to TCS family. Eric, together with Altaf Shaikh from ListEngage will strengthen our leadership in propelling the next phase of growth for our Salesforce practice.”
Eric Berridge, CEO of Coastal Cloud, expressed optimism for what the partnership means for customers and employees. He shared, “This is an exciting new chapter for Coastal Cloud, and joining TCS enables us to serve our customers’ evolving needs with even greater depth, speed, and scale. Our team’s Salesforce and multi-cloud expertise, combined with TCS’ global reach, advanced AI capabilities and enterprise scale solutions, will allow us to support customers across a broader spectrum of transformation needs. Together, we can design solutions, modernize complex processes, and unlock new value across industries globally. Importantly, this partnership gives us a stronger platform to grow, inspire and attract the industry’s best Salesforce and AI professionals. We remain committed to the relationships we have built over the years, and we look forward to expanding them through this partnership.”
Vikram Karakoti, Global Head of Enterprise Solutions at TCS, added that Coastal Cloud’s strengths align seamlessly with TCS’s long-term growth strategy. He emphasized that the integration of Coastal Cloud and ListEngage will allow TCS to deliver world-class, full-stack Salesforce solutions globally, deepen industry specialization, and strengthen its talent pool.`
With this acquisition, TCS further solidifies its commitment to the U.S. market—its largest geographic segment—and reinforces its long-standing reputation as a trusted partner to enterprises navigating digital transformation. The company also reiterated that it will continue pursuing strategic M&A opportunities aligned with core focus areas including AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Digital Engineering, and Enterprise Solutions.
