Symmetry Systems Unveils Symmetry AIGuard for Enterprise AI Security

Symmetry Systems has officially launched Symmetry AIGuard, a standalone AI security and governance platform designed to provide enterprises with complete visibility and control across their AI ecosystems. With organizations rapidly deploying AI technologies, the company aims to help security, data, and legal leaders manage growing risks tied to shadow LLM usage, corporate copilots, internal AI services, and autonomous agentic identities.

As AI adoption accelerates, enterprises increasingly struggle to answer fundamental governance questions. Therefore, Symmetry AIGuard consolidates oversight into a single platform that monitors what AI systems are running, who is using them, what data they can access, and whether they are properly sanctioned. Additionally, it enables teams to act immediately on identified risks—regardless of which department owns the AI asset.

"Organizations are deploying AI faster than they can secure it," said Dr. Mohit Tiwari, CEO of Symmetry Systems. "Executives across Technology, Legal, Data and Security need one place to answer: What AI is running? Who's using it? What data can it access? Is it sanctioned? What is it doing? Whether it's a corporate copilot, a shadow LLM, an internal model, or an autonomous agent - Symmetry AIGuard answers all of that - whether it's a corporate copilot, a shadow LLM, an internal model, or an autonomous agent."

Four Pillars of AI Security

Symmetry AIGuard builds on four core pillars: AI inventory, identity governance, data access intelligence, and compliance monitoring. By merging identity context with sensitive data insights, the platform delivers complete transparency at the point where AI systems intersect with critical enterprise data.

"The question isn't just 'what AI do we have?' - it's 'what can that AI access, and should it? This requires understanding of the intent behind each agent.'" said Mustapha Kebbeh, Chief Security Officer at UKG. "Symmetry is bringing together AI inventory, identity governance, data access intelligence, and compliance monitoring in a single product for the CTO, CIO, CISO, Legal, and Data leaders to use. No other solution currently connects all four."

Agentic AI Governance

Importantly, Symmetry AIGuard treats AI agents as first-class security principals. It catalogs every agent, classifies types (including Copilot Studio, MCP-based, and custom frameworks), and tracks ownership and purpose. Furthermore, it maps permissions, evaluates data exposure, and enforces policies through sanctioning workflows. The platform also flags high-risk agents, such as over-privileged or orphaned agents, those accessing sensitive data, or agents capable of destructive actions.

"Agentic AI is the next frontier of enterprise risk," added Dr. Tiwari. "These agents act autonomously, access sensitive systems, and make decisions. Yet most organizations have zero visibility into them. If you wouldn't let an employee operate without oversight and access controls, you shouldn't let an AI agent do so either."

Comprehensive AI Service and Copilot Governance

Beyond agent management, Symmetry AIGuard inventories internal AI services—including predictive, generative, and RAG-based models—across environments. It evaluates sanction status, ownership, regulatory exposure, and data residency concerns. Meanwhile, unified dashboards provide visibility into corporate copilot deployments, licensing, user activity, and compliance gaps.

Additionally, the platform monitors both approved and shadow external LLM usage through proxy integrations. As employees adopt tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, Symmetry AIGuard tracks model usage, data shared in prompts, and policy violations in real time.

Built on the company’s robust data-centric foundation, the platform leverages more than 400 sensitive data identifiers and 500 semantic data types. Ultimately, Symmetry AIGuard empowers enterprises to secure AI innovation responsibly while maintaining governance, compliance, and operational control.
