Rocket Software Launches EVA for Smarter IT Diagnostics

Rocket Software Launches EVA for Smarter IT Diagnostics

Rocket Software, a global leader in IT modernization, has introduced Rocket EVA, a new enterprise virtual assistant built to simplify and automate operational diagnostics. Designed to bring conversational intelligence directly into core systems, EVA allows IT teams to ask questions in natural language, diagnose issues faster, and receive actionable recommendations—without wading through layers of technical complexity.

At the heart of Rocket EVA is Rocket’s MCP Server, which provides secure, governed access to system data using the industry-standard Model Context Protocol (MCP). This approach connects AI models with real operational data in a way that’s safe, controlled, and production-ready—an increasingly important requirement as enterprises expand the role of AI in IT operations.

Industry momentum is clearly moving in this direction. According to Gartner, by 2028, 80% of enterprise AI agent frameworks are expected to rely on MCP-style service models, up from less than 5% today. The shift highlights growing demand for AI solutions that can operate reliably across mission-critical systems, not just surface-level analytics.

Rocket EVA is built to meet that need. It brings conversational intelligence directly into core environments—including mainframes—through a clean, intuitive interface. By combining Rocket’s MCP Server with its industry-leading data scanners, EVA removes much of the deep technical barrier that has traditionally limited access to system insights. The result is broader visibility for operators and IT teams, without compromising performance or operational stability.

“With Rocket EVA, we’re redefining how operational diagnostics support IT modernization,” said Michael Curry, President of Data Modernization at Rocket Software. He explained that EVA removes the traditional trade-offs between depth, speed, and simplicity. By tracing issues from the first symptom all the way down to the exact line of code, EVA delivers a single, unified path to insight—eliminating the need for multiple disconnected tools and significantly reducing the time it takes to resolve issues.

Beyond diagnostics, EVA is designed to support long-term optimization and modernization efforts. It helps teams improve performance, manage costs, and make smarter decisions around workload placement and system refactoring. Its hybrid-ready architecture allows it to scale across mainframe, distributed, and cloud environments, while remaining flexible enough to integrate with third-party MCP tools.

Industry analysts see this approach as a meaningful step forward. Steven Dickens, CEO and Principal Analyst at HyperFRAME Research, described AI-centric interfaces as the next frontier for enterprise IT. He noted that Rocket EVA, combined with Rocket’s MCP Server, sets a new standard for AIOps in the mainframe space by pairing deep system visibility with intuitive, AI-driven interaction.

With EVA, Rocket Software is positioning itself at the intersection ofAI, automation, and enterprise reliability—helping organizations modernize complex systems while keeping them resilient, performant, and easier to manage.
