Coursera, Inc., a global leader in online learning and workforce development, has announced the appointment of Anthony Salcito as the General Manager of Enterprise, effective October 6, 2025.
“Anthony’s global experience in education and proven track record in driving customer value make him an outstanding leader for our Enterprise business,” said Greg Hart, CEO of Coursera. “As our customers advance their skills-based workforce strategies, Anthony’s leadership will be key to scaling innovations like Skills Tracks, our newly launched solution that provides verified, role-based skill paths to help organizations close skill gaps faster.”
Salcito brings extensive expertise in the education and technology sectors. Before joining Coursera, he served as the Chief Institution Business Officer at Nerdy (Varsity Tutors), where he worked closely with educators and institutions to enhance tutoring, test preparation, and enrichment programs. His career also includes over two decades at Microsoft, where he held the position of Vice President of Worldwide Education. At Microsoft, Salcito played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s global education vision and spearheaded major initiatives such as Live@EDU (Office 365), Partners in Learning, Microsoft Innovative Educator, and Showcase Schools.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Salcito has contributed significantly to the education community through leadership roles on several boards, including Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Western Governors University, and Teach.org. He currently serves as the Board Co-Chair for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, further reflecting his commitment to advancing learning and skill development.

Salcito’s appointment aligns with Coursera’s ongoing investment in GenAI-powered learning and skills-based education. The company is strengthening its Enterprise offerings with innovations such as Skills Tracks, designed to accelerate role-specific learning, and Role Play, a new feature for hands-on skill practice. Additionally, Coursera is enhancing Course Builder, its AI-powered authoring tool, to simplify and enrich course creation.
Recently, Coursera expanded its partnerships with leading industry organizations to deliver more impactful learning experiences and advance global workforce readiness—demonstrating its continued commitment to bridging the global skills gap through innovation.
