Zoom and NVIDIA Announce Extended Partnership

Zoom and NVIDIA Announce Extended Partnership

Zoom and NVIDIA have announced an expanded collaboration aimed at delivering faster, smarter, and more cost-efficient AI-driven solutions for enterprise users across industries. The partnership integrates NVIDIA’s Nemotron open technologies into Zoom’s federated AI framework, supporting the rollout of Zoom AI Companion 3.0, the company’s latest AI offering for sectors such as finance, healthcare, and government.

This integration enables organizations to benefit from scalable, secure, and high-performance AI designed to enhance productivity and streamline collaboration.

Hybrid Model for Smarter AI Decisions

Zoom’s new hybrid language model architecture combines its proprietary Small Language Models (SLMs) optimized for fast, task-specific responses with a fine-tuned Large Language Model (LLM) capable of advanced reasoning and contextual understanding. This dual-layer approach allows Zoom’s AI system to dynamically route queries to the most efficient model, ensuring both accuracy and speed while managing computational costs effectively.

A key highlight of this collaboration is the introduction of Zoom’s 49-billion-parameter Large Language Model, developed using NVIDIA Nemotron and NeMo tools. This model is engineered to achieve an ideal balance between accuracy, efficiency, and affordability, empowering enterprises to access advanced AI features without sacrificing performance or budget.

Enhanced Enterprise Capabilities

Leveraging NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure and GPUs, Zoom’s AI Companion now delivers enhanced features such as real-time transcription, translation, and summarization. The AI tools will also integrate seamlessly across widely used enterprise platforms, including Microsoft 365, Teams, Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, and ServiceNow creating a more connected and intelligent workplace experience.

“We’ve increased our speed and enhanced lower-cost model decision making using NVIDIA GPUs and AI software stack,” said X.D. Huang, Chief Technology Officer at Zoom.

“This partnership allows us to deliver powerful, security-focused, and scalable AI experiences to our customers at rapid speed.”

“The integration of NVIDIA Nemotron into Zoom AI Companion allows enterprises like NVIDIA to experience a private, powerful, and personalized work environment for enhanced productivity,” said Kari Briski, Vice President of Generative AI Software at NVIDIA.

Commitment to Responsible and Secure AI

Both companies emphasize that this initiative aligns with their responsible AI principles, ensuring security and privacy at every stage. Zoom confirmed that it does not use customer data such as audio, video, or chat content to train any AI models, including those from third parties.

By combining open-source and proprietary AI innovation, the partnership between Zoom and NVIDIA aims to boost enterprise productivity, enhance collaboration, and lay the groundwork for secure, scalable AI deployment across industries that demand high levels of data protection and reliability.
