Seamless Mobile Video CX Now in Asia-Pacific via 8x8–Modica

8x8, Inc., a leading provider of integrated customer experience (CX) platforms, has teamed up with Modica Group, a global leader in intelligent messaging, to enhance omnichannel CX across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This collaboration marks the beginning of a strategic reseller partnership designed to deliver advanced video capabilities within Modica’s OMNI CPaaS platform.

The partnership kicks off with the integration of 8x8 Jitsi as a Service (JaaS) into Modica’s platform, allowing businesses to initiate secure, high-quality video sessions directly from SMS, WhatsApp, or MMS without requiring downloads or app switching.

Driving Real-Time Video Engagement Across Mobile Channels

With this integration, organizations can instantly launch one-click video chats from familiar mobile channels like SMS, WhatsApp, and MMS. From healthcare and insurance to aviation and public sector services, businesses can now provide a frictionless, app-free, and real-time video experience to customers.

The integration is already in pilot across Australia and New Zealand, with one major government agency using it for real-time citizen support. The solution enables diverse use cases, including:

  • Insurance claims processing and field inspections

  • Technical troubleshooting and support resolutions

Looking Ahead: Beyond Video Integration

This collaboration represents the first step in a broader roadmap. 8x8 and Modica plan to expand their partnership with future integrations and reseller agreements in programmable voice, security, and OTT services, further strengthening Modica’s OMNI CPaaS portfolio and unlocking new CX opportunities for businesses across the region.
