Zoom Communications, Inc. has announced a major expansion of its enterprise agentic AI platform, introducing advanced workflow orchestration capabilities across Zoom Workplace, Zoom Phone, and Zoom CX. With these enhancements, Zoom aims to help organizations transform conversations into automated business outcomes by integrating workflow automation directly into collaboration and customer engagement tools.
As companies increasingly adopt artificial intelligence across their operations, many still rely on AI assistants that only summarize meetings or conversations. However, the actual execution of tasks often requires manual follow-ups across disconnected enterprise systems. Consequently, this fragmentation slows down productivity and prevents organizations from realizing the full value of AI.
To address this challenge, Zoom’s agentic AI platform embeds automation into everyday interactions such as meetings, calls, chats, and contact center engagements. As a result, these conversations can now trigger automated actions across enterprise systems, streamlining workflows and improving operational efficiency.
“The next phase of enterprise AI will be defined by the ability to move from conversation to action,” said Velchamy Sankarlingam, president of Product & Engineering at Zoom. “Zoom’s agentic AI platform is designed to orchestrate action across systems, turning every meeting, call, and customer interaction into a trigger for workflow automation.”
Key Enhancements in Zoom’s Agentic AI Platform
Zoom introduced several new features to strengthen its enterprise agentic AI 3.0 platform. These updates include custom and prebuilt AI agents with no-code orchestration, allowing organizations to design workflows without programming expertise. Additionally, Zoom added 10 new secure enterprise search connectors to expand third-party integrations within the AI Companion ecosystem.
The platform also introduces AI-first collaboration canvases, including Zoom AI Docs, AI Sheets, and AI Slides. These tools enable teams to convert meeting conversations into structured documents, data analysis, and presentations in real time without leaving the Zoom environment.
Other updates include Zoom Phone Mobile, SMS support for the Zoom Virtual Agent AI Receptionist, and AI Expert Assist 3.0 for Zoom Contact Center. Furthermore, Zoom has enhanced meeting security through new technologies such as deepfake detection, which can identify synthetic audio or video during meetings and alert participants in real time.
AI Companion Expands Across Zoom Ecosystem
Zoom also expanded its AI Companion capabilities with the launch of AI Companion 3.0, which now operates across Zoom Workplace, Zoom Business Services, and Workvivo. This upgrade connects conversations, enterprise applications, and data sources to accelerate “conversation-to-completion” workflows.
The new Custom AI Companion add-on enables organizations to build tailored AI agents capable of retrieving insights, automating tasks, and orchestrating workflows across platforms such as Salesforce, Slack, and ServiceNow. Moreover, new secure connectors allow AI agents to access enterprise data stored in systems like Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, and ServiceNow.
Another major enhancement includes personalization features. AI Companion can now learn from user roles, preferences, and workflow patterns, delivering more relevant insights and recommendations over time.
Enhancing Collaboration with Zoom Workplace
Zoom’s next-generation Zoom Workplace platform introduces a simplified interface and deeper AI integration. AI Companion now has a dedicated tab that acts as a conversational workspace for queries, writing tasks, and automation requests.
Additionally, Zoom launched Zoomie, a group assistant designed to improve meeting productivity by helping teams stay aligned with objectives. Meanwhile, new AI-powered chat features provide topic summaries and prioritize important updates.
Zoom also introduced a live voice translation feature that allows participants to speak in their native language while others hear translated audio during meetings. Initially, the feature supports five languages with more planned in future updates.
Intelligent Calling with Zoom Phone
Zoom Phone continues to evolve with new AI-driven capabilities. The platform now supports agentic workflows, allowing the system to automatically generate call summaries, draft follow-up emails, and execute tasks after calls.
Additionally, the SMS-enabled Zoom Virtual Agent AI Receptionist can interact with customers via text, answer questions, schedule appointments, and escalate issues to human agents when necessary.
With the introduction of Zoom Phone Mobile, users can make business calls from their native smartphone dialer while retaining AI-powered calling features and analytics.
AI-Powered Customer Experience and Sales Insights
Zoom also introduced improvements across Zoom CX and Zoom Revenue Accelerator, bringing AI-driven automation to customer engagement and sales operations.
The new AI Expert Assist 3.0 provides real-time guidance for contact center agents, helping them resolve customer issues more quickly through contextual recommendations and automated task execution. Meanwhile, CX Insights enables business leaders to analyze customer experience data using natural language queries.
In addition, Customer Workflow Orchestration allows organizations to design automated customer journeys across CRM systems, enterprise platforms, and communication channels.
Zoom also enhanced its sales intelligence platform with AI Sales Assist, which delivers real-time coaching during sales calls by offering prompts, competitive insights, and suggested next actions.
By expanding its agentic AI platform across collaboration, communication, and customer experience tools, Zoom aims to help organizations move beyond simple conversation summaries and instead automate meaningful business outcomes.
