VentureSouq has led a $2 million seed funding round in MilkStraw AI, an AI-powered cloud optimisation startup focused on helping early-stage companies better manage and reduce cloud infrastructure costs. The round also saw participation from Ibtikar Fund and M Capital, reinforcing strong regional investor confidence in MilkStraw AI’s vision and execution.
Founded in 2023, MilkStraw AI was created to simplify cloud optimisation and make advanced cost-management capabilities accessible to startups that often lack dedicated cloud engineering teams. Since its launch, the company has gained rapid traction across the startup ecosystem, with more than 100 startups already using its platform to monitor, manage, and optimise their cloud environments.
Notably, MilkStraw AI’s growing customer base includes companies such as Thndr, Maqsam, Ziina, Beyond Limits, and Zero. This diverse adoption across fintech, SaaS, and technology-led businesses highlights the platform’s strong product-market fit and its relevance in cloud-heavy operating models. As cloud usage continues to expand, startups increasingly face challenges related to rising costs, underutilized resources, and operational complexity—issues MilkStraw AI aims to address directly.
The seed funding round was completed in approximately 45 days, underscoring both investor conviction and the company’s ability to execute efficiently. Rather than celebrating the milestone, the MilkStraw AI team described the close of the round as a moment of relief, marking the conclusion of an intense and demanding fundraising process.
Looking ahead, MilkStraw AI plans to use the newly raised capital to accelerate product development and scale its operations. The company is actively building several new capabilities designed to deepen value for customers. These include The Feed, which will surface actionable insights in real time, Right Sizing, aimed at automatically optimizing cloud resource allocation, and an AI-powered conversational layer. This conversational interface will allow users to interact directly with their cloud infrastructure using natural language, reducing friction and making cloud management more intuitive for non-technical teams.
With VentureSouq’s backing, along with the strategic guidance and regional networks of Ibtikar Fund and M Capital, MilkStraw AI intends to strengthen its presence across the MENA region while expanding into additional international markets. These partnerships are expected to support both customer acquisition and long-term growth as the company scales.
As cloud costs and infrastructure complexity continue to rise globally, MilkStraw AI is positioning itself as a foundational layer in the modern startup tech stack. By removing inefficiencies in cloud spend and simplifying optimisation workflows, the company enables founders and engineering teams to focus on building products and driving innovation rather than managing costly and inefficient cloud operations.
