TekVizion Deepens Cisco Partnership to Support BroadWorks Devices

TekVizion Deepens Cisco Partnership to Support BroadWorks Devices

TekVizion and Cisco have expanded their long-standing partnership to make it easier and faster for service providers and enterprises worldwide to deploy Partner Managed third-party devices within the Cisco BroadWorks ecosystem. Through this deeper collaboration, both companies aim to simplify complex device integrations while improving deployment reliability across large-scale communications environments.

As part of the expanded agreement, TekVizion will now act as the primary source of validated BroadWorks Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) resources. This includes managing and maintaining access to essential materials such as CPE kits and configuration guides, DTAF configuration models, device mapping resources, and vendor test status certificates. By centralizing these assets, TekVizion helps ensure that service providers can quickly locate accurate, up-to-date, and fully validated device information.

For many years, TekVizion has operated as Cisco’s trusted independent lab, certifying third-party devices for interoperability with Cisco BroadWorks and Webex Calling. Now, the company’s role is expanding further. TekVizion will manage Cisco’s entire library of validated device configurations and technical guides for BroadWorks. As a result, service providers gain access to a single, reliable source of truth that supports smoother onboarding of third-party devices and faster rollout of new services.

This centralized approach significantly reduces operational complexity. Instead of searching across multiple vendors or documentation sources, providers can rely on one structured repository that contains all validated non-Cisco device resources. Consequently, teams can integrate devices more efficiently, reduce deployment risks, and accelerate time-to-service for business customers.

In addition, the collaboration preserves seamless support workflows. Cisco will continue to provide live production support for BroadWorks environments, while TekVizion supplies the tested and validated configuration foundation that ensures devices function correctly from day one. This shared responsibility model enables providers to maintain consistent service quality while introducing greater device flexibility for customers.

Joe Harsch, Director of Product Management, Cisco BroadWorks, highlighted the importance of TekVizion’s expertise, stating:

"Our partnership with TekVizion builds upon a long history of trust in their expertise in simplifying complexity in managing interoperability, interworking, and mapping device deployments for Service Provider environments. By managing foundational device certification and configuration assets, TekVizion helps Cisco and its Service Providers deliver the best possible customer experience on Webex Calling when 3rd party devices are used," said Joe Harsch, Director of Product Management, Cisco BroadWorks.

The expanded partnership also supports industries that continue to rely heavily on physical desk phones and specialized communication hardware. Sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, retail, and contact centers often require dependable, certified device options that integrate seamlessly with cloud calling platforms. By managing the complete library of device configurations and guides, TekVizion enables service providers to offer more device choices while maintaining service consistency.

Sonali Karnik, Director of Product Marketing at TekVizion, emphasized this customer-focused benefit, saying:

"Many businesses like —hotels, hospitals, retail stores, call centers, —still rely heavily on desk phones. By managing the entire library of device configurations and guides, TekVizion enables Cisco's Service Provider community to meet customer needs for device choice with confidence," said Sonali Karnik, Director of Product Marketing at TekVizion.

Overall, this expanded partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward simplifying complex cloud communications deployments while preserving interoperability across diverse device ecosystems. By strengthening the BroadWorks certification and configuration process, TekVizion and Cisco are helping service providers scale faster, reduce integration challenges, and deliver consistent calling experiences for enterprise customers worldwide.
