Indosat Partners with Cisco and Splunk for Real-Time Threat Detection

Indosat Partners with Cisco and Splunk for Real-Time Threat Detection

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) has officially introduced its Security Command Center (SCC) in Jakarta, marking an important milestone in strengthening Indonesia’s cybersecurity capabilities. The initiative arrives at a time when artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation are rapidly reshaping the cyber threat landscape across industries.

The newly launched SCC combines advanced technologies from Cisco and Splunk with the operational expertise of Cisco Customer Experience Services. By integrating these technologies, the platform enables real-time threat detection, investigation, and response at a scale that aligns with the fast-growing digital ecosystem in Indonesia.

As organizations continue adopting AI and digital technologies, cyber threats have also become more sophisticated and complex. Therefore, the Security Command Center aims to provide continuous monitoring, deep visibility, and AI-powered analytics to help businesses identify and mitigate threats before they disrupt operations. Through this centralized security platform, Indosat intends to support enterprises in protecting their digital infrastructure while maintaining operational stability.

Furthermore, the SCC reflects Indosat’s strategy to democratize cybersecurity services. By offering managed security capabilities, the company ensures that organizations of different sizes—from enterprises to smaller businesses—can access the tools and intelligence required to navigate today’s evolving digital risk environment. As a result, teams can focus more on innovation, growth, and digital transformation while maintaining a strong security foundation.

The increasing adoption of AI across industries in Indonesia has created new opportunities for economic growth. However, it has also introduced advanced cyber risks that demand stronger defense mechanisms. Consequently, Indosat’s Security Command Center integrates security directly into digital infrastructure rather than treating it as a secondary layer. This approach provides organizations with real-time insights, proactive threat detection, and coordinated response capabilities.

Vikram Sinha, President Director & CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, highlighted the importance of the initiative.

“The launch of Indosat’s Security Command Center, in collaboration with Cisco, strengthens Indonesia’s cybersecurity posture and reinforces our commitment to protecting government, businesses, and communities. Combining world class technology with local expertise creates a secure and resilient digital infrastructure that fuels innovation and meets Indonesia’s long term digital ambitions.”

Through the collaboration with Cisco and Splunk, the SCC integrates security analytics, machine learning capabilities, and centralized monitoring tools. These capabilities allow security teams to identify unusual activity, analyze threats quickly, and respond to incidents more efficiently.

Chuck Robbins, Chair and CEO of Cisco, also emphasized the strategic value of the partnership.

“Cisco is proud to continue our partnership with Indosat to establish a new benchmark for digital resilience in Indonesia. By delivering the combined power of Cisco and Splunk, we are providing the critical infrastructure and trusted foundation Indonesian organizations need to safeguard against AI-powered threats and lead in a digital economy.”

Ultimately, the launch of the Security Command Center represents a major step toward strengthening Indonesia’s cybersecurity ecosystem. By combining global technology expertise with local operational support, Indosat aims to provide organizations with a resilient, scalable, and intelligent security framework capable of protecting digital services in an increasingly AI-driven world.
