Smart Spaces has officially launched Space Agent, its innovative AI-driven workplace concierge designed to revolutionize how people engage with buildings and manage their work environments.

At the heart of this new feature is Max, a friendly, fully interactive digital persona that communicates via both text and audio. Max integrates seamlessly with the Smart Spaces building operating system (OS) and its employee engagement app, making everyday workplace interactions simpler and smarter.

Designed to support landlords, asset managers, facility teams, tenants, and employees, Space Agent makes building operations more human and accessible. Users can ask questions in natural language, automate repetitive tasks, and receive real-time responses thanks to the integration with Smart Spaces’ OS across multiple building systems.

Key Features of Space Agent:

  • Interactive workplace assistant – Max can book desks, reserve meeting rooms, or secure parking spaces instantly.

  • Smart facilities support – Facility managers can ask detailed questions like “How many people visited the office last week?” or “How much water was used yesterday?” Max generates dashboards, analyzes data, and even suggests actions to optimize building performance.

  • Community and wellbeing – For new tenants, Max recommends activities such as running clubs, helps with bookings, and fosters social connections within the workplace.

  • Customer service made simple – Employees can report issues, such as a broken computer, directly to Max, which then raises a ticket with the IT team.

By acting simultaneously as a data analyst and a digital concierge, Space Agent simplifies complex building operations while elevating the workplace experience.

Unlike standalone solutions, Space Agent is fully integrated into the cloud-hosted Smart Spaces OS, which already manages premium office buildings across prime global locations. Through text or audio chat, users can interact with Max or trigger automated agents to act in response to real-time events.

The Smart Spaces OS controls a wide range of building functions, including physical access, lifts, HVAC, lighting, IoT, visitor management, desk booking, and parking. With Space Agent, a conversational AI layer is now added, enhancing both decision-making and overall usability.
